Introduction to the Study of the Holy Scriptures:

The creators and publishers of this study maintain a strong belief in the divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures. They assert that each of the 66 books was written under the direct guidance of God, leading to a precise expression in the languages used by the authors—namely Hebrew, Greek, and some Aramaic. Consequently, they view the Holy Scriptures as the very word of God without reservation.

Our supreme authority in this belief comes from Jesus Christ, whom we consider Lord. He taught us in Matthew 4:4 that the words found in the Old Testament are "from the mouth of God." He stated that not a single stroke or part of it would disappear until all is fulfilled (Matthew 5:18). Moreover, he attributed words written by David to the "Holy Spirit" (Mark 12:36) and emphasized that "the scripture cannot be broken" when addressing the leaders of Israel (John 10:35). He also taught that his own teachings came directly from God, the Father who is in heaven (John 12:49; 14:24). He affirmed that God's Holy Spirit leads his apostles "into all truth" (John 16:13), and his apostles taught that all Old Testament writings are "given by inspiration of God" (2 Timothy 3:16). Old Testament prophecies were conveyed through "holy men of God" who "spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1:21).

The text of the Holy Scriptures and our prepared notes reflect this high perspective of inspiration.
